Massage therapists, I present to you one of my favorite techniques. Why do I like it so much? Well, it’s easy to apply once you get the hang of it, and it gets me more “oh wow” comments than just about any other move. Give it a try, share with your colleagues, and let me know what you think in the comments!
I’ve got another technique video coming up next week, and then… I don’t know! What would you like to see me cover next?
Hi, I quite enjoy your videos and skilled explanations of techniques being used. Having studied Shiatsu years before becoming licensed in massage, I use a wide variety of techniques to unlock layers. What I am curious about and hoping you can shed light on has to do with ROM vs pin and strike?
I’ve recently heard some teachers say that pin and strike stretches? are a no no. I was unable to question them in greater detail. In Shiatsu I often do range of motion stretches and exercises to assess the quality of the joint. I gather that some Shiatsu stretches could be concerning if one was not assessing the information but rather only compressing. I’m muddled and hoped you may have some insight to share?
Love your work, keep on,
Lynn
